Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands combine to create a jewel of untold beauty and brilliance. Together they bring to the observer peace, calm, and tranquility, contrasted, at times, with wild seas, peril and unease. They are welcoming and also demand respect from those who might venture forth on their lands and waterways.
I have been captivated by the area since first joining friends on a sailing trip over forty years ago and further enamored through the medium of my photography.
